  • Jan 3, 2012

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) recently received the GuideStar Exchange Seal, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc., the premier source of nonprofit information.

"We have worked hard to showcase our progress toward our mission of 'serving God by serving those in need through programs that provide hope, dignity and independence,' and our long-standing belief in being transparent about our work to our constituents," said Alyssa Osian. "As a GuideStar Exchange member, we benefit from a highly-visible platform from which we are able to share a wealth of up-to-date information about our work to not just our supporters, but also GuideStar immense online audience of nonprofits, grant-makers, individual donors, and the media."

To receive the GuideStar Exchange Seal, ECS completed an extensive profile including submission of financial statements and non-profit designation status. The online profile can be found online on the GuideStar site.
