In addition, over 60 staff members and their families and friends also purchased tickets to the event, bringing ECS’ attendance to 125. ECS partnered with the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego as part of “Episcopal Night at San Diego Padres.” Over 1,900 individuals representing churches, agencies, and committees of the Diocese were in attendance. “For many of our clients, Episcopal Night was the first sporting event they had been to in years. Several children we brought were in absolute awe of the ballpark and the tens of thousands people in attendance. They’ve never seen anything like it in their lives!” said Betsy Knight, Assistant Director of Housing and Supportive Services for ECS. |
