 On April 13, a youth group from the Agency for Jewish Education participated in a global service project day dedicated to “healing the world.” Armed with cleaners, towels and brooms, the group gave Uptown Safe Haven a thorough spring cleaning. “It’s hard work but we know we are making a difference,” said one teen. “Cleaning isn’t fun, but knowing that we are helping people who are going through a difficult time makes the time really worth the effort.”
