Recover San Diego's Camp Noah 2008 March 25 - 28, 2008
Recover San Diego co-hosted Camp Noah, a faith-based therapeutic day camp for young victims of disasters. The project was sponsored by local Episcopal, Methodist and Lutheran churches. Thirty-eight children enjoyed the day camp, held in Ramona during spring break, to help them heal from the trauma experienced during the wildfires.

The Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and the United Methodist Church have joined efforts to address the needs of families affected by San Diego County’s recent wildfires. Michael Wilson, a Baptist minister, manages the collaboration as the Fire Recovery Coordinator to reach out to families, identify needs and research community resources.
Recover San Diego offers fire survivors resources such as housing, food, clothing, rental assistance, advocacy, case management, medical assistance, resource information and assistance with other needs that are not being covered by the different Fire Relief agencies.
Through the generous support of the community, Recover San Diego provided over $6,000 in gift cards and assistance at Christmas time. To date, over $18,600 in grants has been provided to fire survivors in need.
