Appoints Chief Administrative Officer

Episcopal Community Services is pleased to welcome Mr. Christopher J. Marics as Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Marics offers twenty years of experience in all facets of non-profit business administration. His experience includes leadership positions in planning, evaluation and organizational redesign to achieve strategic goals. Mr. Marics also brings his experience in financial management, human resources, contract compliance and development.

Most recently, Mr. Marics consulted with Harder+Company Community Research in San Diego, where he directed the research, design and evaluation of two large-scale social service projects. Prior to working with Harder+Company, Mr. Marics served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Mental Health Services and Policy Program in the Department of Psychiatry, Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, and as a Clinician Supervisor for the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Marics will be responsible for the leadership and management of a variety of services and programs. The CAO will oversee program, contract, and licensing compliance for the ECS Head Start and Early Head Start programs. He will also have responsibility for non-government and revenue producing programs (currently ACCORD, Food Services, Emergency Assistance) as well as the administrative functions of the agency, including risk management, human resources, quality improvement, agency communications, facilities, and health and safety practices.

Mr. Marics obtained a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University, and completed two years of full-time coursework towards a Master of Divinity from Seton Hall University. He began his position on Monday, September 28, 2009.
