The Palomar Head Start site recently enjoyed a spectacular performance by the San Diego Symphony. In between playing familiar classics such as Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, the musicians demonstrated ways the audience how to distinguish the differences in instrumental sounds. The kids from Castle Park Head Start site from just a few blocks away took a walking field trip to Palomar so that they could enjoy the performance as well.
The Symphony came to Head Start as part of their community outreach initiative. They are one of several performing arts groups to volunteer their time and talent for the enjoyment of ECS clients. |
