Julian's Anchorage at Gunnarson House, Julian's Sanctuary and Julian's Hope provide long-term transitional housing for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. More than shelters, Julian's Housing programs are places to heal from the wounds of abuse while acquiring self-esteem and independence. The 12 to 18 month program offers weekly counseling, parenting classes, life skills training, domestic violence prevention education, substance abuse prevention services, and career guidance. Residents are expected to work, participate in school and/or job training or welfare to work transition programs. This program is funded in part by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and from the Women Together. ECS Julian's Program Administration
